The Music Committee of Emmanuel Parish is pleased to announce the Summer Brown Bag Concert schedule at Emmanuel Parish. Every Wednesday in July and August, from 12 to 12:30, a different musician or group will provide a concert which is open to the public. The concerts are free, but we ask for a donation which funds an annual scholarship to a high school music student to attend a summer music camp. This year we are sending violinist Mackie Blackburn to Marrowstone Summer Music Festival in Bellingham.
Please put these concert dates on your calendar.

Everyone is invited to bring their lunch and eat outside after the concert. Come early, as the concerts have become quite popular.

Thanks to Father Matthew and "The Lead" at the Episcopal Cafe'
"Presiding Bishop Katharine Jefferts Schori was her usual steady self in an interview with David Crabtree of WRAL TV, himself an Episcopalian. The interview touched on the ecological devastation of the Gulf of Mexico in the wake of the still-spreading BP oil spill, earthquake recovery efforts in Haiti; relationships in the Anglican Communion, and 'mitregate', which she said was not painful, but was 'silly.' Labyrinth on the Lawn
The summer labyrinth on the lawn is now down and available to all 24/7.
This labyrinth is the exact size for the future permanent labyrinth. It is called a medieval, 7 circuit Chartres-style labyrinth. This is a smaller version of the 11 circuit labyrinth laid upon the floor of Chartres Cathedral (outside Paris) in 1201.
